I am the sort of person for whom values are important. Maybe that’s why I work in the not-for-profit and academic sectors. It certainly helps with running my own business – the values that frame my working life are now entirely my own, not something that has been dictated or developed by others in the company I work for. This ensures that the work I choose to do fits with my vision of the world and the difference that we can all make.
I recently wrote an article on the topic of values – I had a lot of positive feedback about it, so it seems that many of us believe in the value of values and that can only be a good thing for everyone.
