Despite all the LinkedIn posts, blogs and articles telling us about the trends for each new year that rolls around, it’s actually hard to predict what each year will bring (and perhaps even getting harder). As individuals and organisations, we don’t really know what lies ahead.
Much of what comes our way is likely to be challenging but we must also remember that won’t be the only story.
One thing I feel fairly safe to guess is that communications will need improvement in 2026! It has always been that way and is likely to always be so in the future, especially as the need for communication during change and difficult times increases.
The good news is that I can help.
As I often say to my clients, you have enough to do without simply adding ‘communicate’ as another item on your to-do list. So if you’re going to do it, you might as well be as effective as possible. With fewer misunderstandings, you can ensure your organisation is focussing on the amazing things you do to make the world a kinder place.
I can work with you to do just that. And if your issues aren’t strictly comms-related, I can help you figure out what the real problem is too.
Who do I work with?
My clients are busy people, with lots to do and lots to achieve. Their organisations are working with groups and communities locally, nationally and globally, finding ways to empower, support and make change. They are not-for-profit, purpose-led and responsible organisations.
They recognise that communication at their organisation needs improving but:
- they don’t know where to start.
- they don’t feel confident enough in their own communication abilities to be sure that they will make the right choices.
- they know they are too close to be objective and need a fresh pair of eyes and new perspective.

How can I help?
There are a number of ways we can work together. The best option for you will depend on what you want to achieve and whether you would like me to do it for you or to support you to develop the skills yourself.
This year sees me start a new challenge of my own, working in-house in a comms for staff wellbeing role. But don’t worry, it’s a part-time position and I still have plenty of time to work on freelance projects too. So this year I’ll be concentrating on:
- Communications mentoring
I can provide ongoing mentoring to help you deliver your communication strategy and plan. Regular conversations with a mentor can help you work through ideas and challenges in a safe and supportive way.
- Communication strategy and plan
Planned communications provide actions to support your organisational plan and achieve your aims. I can work with you to pull together a robust communication strategy and plan.
- Write your own communication strategy
If you haven’t yet found time to actually write the strategy you know you need, let me guide you through a series of workshops to build it. I’ll provide accountability too so you don’t let it slip.
Sound good? If you are looking for support and think I could help you, please get in touch for a no obligation chat about the challenges you are facing.
Until next time
Sarah
