My clients are busy people, with lots to do and lots to achieve. They recognise that communication at their organisation needs improving – often because other people have told them so – but they don’t know where to start, haven’t got enough pairs of hands or they don’t feel confident enough in their own communication abilities to be sure that they will make the right choices for their organisation. See the ‘what others say’ page of this site to see what some of my clients have said about working with me to help them with their challenges.
Communication is, apparently, the root of all evil – it is almost always cited in staff surveys and individual conversations at the water cooler as needing improvement. But there are always things you can do to make it better. As I often say to clients, you have enough to do without simply adding ‘communicate’ as another item on your to-do list – if you’re going to do it, you might as well be as effective as possible. I can support you to do just that.
So how can I help? Well, there are four key areas where my work makes a difference:
- Research. Organisations with better internal understanding make better decisions and take stronger actions. I can carry out research to find out what your people are thinking, feeling and saying – since I am independent and impartial, people are happy to tell me what’s really going on. You can communicate better and do more together when you see and understand each other’s perspectives.
- Strategy and planning. Planned communications provide actions to support your business plan and achieve your aims. I can work with you to pull together a robust communication strategy or plan, to cover your whole organisation or a specific project.
- Training. When everyone in an organisation is able to communicate effectively, you become much stronger and are able to achieve more together. I run group training workshops, as well as offering one to one coaching and support.
- Writing. Compelling copy supports the achievement of your organisational aims. I can write many different things for you, from web copy to business plans, from case-studies to grant applications.

Until next time
